Martinsburg, West Virginia is not a massive city, so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles and dozens upon dozens of events that the bigger metropolitan areas offer, but it nonetheless has fun celebrations to ring in the new yr. Visiting a swamp doesn't sound like the most thrilling time. But the Great Dismal Swamp is actually pretty awesome. There is tons of stunning scenery and wildlife. You can hike different trails or even take a trip on the bicycle path. Whilst you are enjoying the scenery, you might just spot some foxes, deer, bobcats, or even a black bear!
